In depth

Verdict

Jenga sprang a big surprise when a 25/1 winner at Ludlow on her first start under rules last month, but there appeared to be no fluke about the way she win and if anything there is likely to be better to come. However, she drops down in distance for her second start here, and for that reason is worth taking on. We prefer the chances of Robert Alner's Spaghetti Junction. She was a smooth five length winner from subsequent scorer Super Sammy at Haydock on her debut, before starting favourite but failing to handle the bottomless ground at Folkestone on her only subsequent start, when she was eventually pulled up. That run was too bad to be true, and if she can show the sort of form she did at Haydock, then a second success would be virtually guaranteed here. Easibrook Jane showed some promise on her hurdling debut at Plumpton and may again reach the frame, while Fire Ranger, who has shaped reasonably well on her three starts in bumper company, is another to consider.
