Battle Of Jericho has been steadily improving and though having more to do than when landing a Leopardstown maiden he scored with a bit in hand and can make further progress. He had earlier been beaten by Lethal Steps on the same track and though the latter disappointed at this level later before well beaten in the Group 1 National Stakes he didn't act on the testing ground. Mark Johnston sends Lake Volta from Yorkshire but he'll need to step up on his third in a Kempton Group 3, as will course and distance maiden winner Grace Rafaela. RIYAZAN finished last of five in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes but that looked a quality event and he wasn't beaten far after being slightly impeded. A surprise winner over Nelson at the Curragh in August, he's taken to get back to winning ways as Damselfly doesn't look up to this.
