The fact that Kieren Fallon is keeping faith with course specialist Night Sight is recommendation enough to give the Sue Lamyman-trained gelding the nod over Dickie Deadeye and Field Spark, who will not make it easy for the selection if they run to form. Secret Jewel is also worth a mention as he makes the long journey from West Sussex as the only runner from his yard on the card this evening. However, like Midshipman Easy and Maritime Blue, he does have a little to prove in this company and is a risky proposition for win only purposes. Therefore, we prefer the claims held by Night Sight, who seems to reserve his best for racing at this course. The seven-year-old responds well for Fallon and has continually proved that all ground comes alike to him during his races. Now 7lb lower than the last time he was victorious over course and distance, Night Sight has been presented with a cracking opportunity to gain some compensation for his string of near misses this season.
