    In depth

    Verdict

Tasdeer is proven over this trip and so gets the nod ahead of Spitfire and Silver Wind. The selection has shown plenty of ability in his four starts to date and ran with plenty of credit recently at Lingfield when second to Paco Boy on his reappearance. This nicely-bred colt may not be the greatest of prices but he should take all the beating. Swanky Lady has plenty to find on official ratings but should not be underestimated having won on her final start last season, whilst Baronovici needs to improve markedly but should appreciate any rain. Silver Wind returns to seven furlongs but has looked more of a six furlong horse so far, so a bigger danger may be Spitfire who has won at the track before and is proven on any ground. He tries this trip for the first time but if he stays it then he won't be far away. An interesting little contest, with Tasdeer taken to oblige.
