walk over, raced alone
Jazz du Forez is taken to beat sole rival Chancers Dante in a race that has cut up badly. What is it about this class E contest that stops it attracting runners. Only two lined up last year as well, although the new BHB rules do not help matters at all. Ferdy Murphy has his team in good shape at present but even so it is hard to fancy Chancers Dante who has failed to complete on each of his three previous outings. To be fair he would have needed the run on his return at Sedgefield but there was not a great deal of encouragement to be gleaned from that effort as he was really struggling when pulled up. With that in mind, Jazz du Forez has obvious claims, having at least got round safely at Stratford and Folkestone since returning to the fray. He is still a maiden, but not for much longer if he puts in a clear round today.
