There are not too many that can be seriously considered here with our vote going to Mr Whizz ahead of Eurolink Artemis, Jezadil and Hellbent. This is a race for apprentices in which the weights are partly determined by the number of winners that the jockey has ridden. Looking at the principals. Eurolink Artemis tends to come to herself at this time of year and, while the form of her Wolverhampton win 4 days ago is nothing out of the ordinary, this is not a strong race and, with form on the prevailing soft conditions, she looks set to go well. While Hellbent's overall form is very modest, he seems to be improving now and the drop to 10 furlongs from the 12 he ran over last time, could bring about further improvement. Jezadil's best winning form has come over further than 10 furlongs but she acts on soft and is another to hold solid claims in a race that lacks strength in depth, while Middlemiss is bred to be better than she has so far shown but has looked ordinary to date. Recent hurdling winner Mr Whizz has been kept busy on the all-weather and the best of his Turf form also puts him firmly in the mix too - sufficiently so for us to make him the selection.
