Verdict

A difficult race to call as most of the field arrive here in decent form and look primed for a bold show. However, Craic Sa Ceili looks to be back to something like his best and he may be worth chancing today. However, Mick Channon will be well aware of the capabilities of the Malcom Sanders inmate and solid support for Tusk will also be significant. Unicorn Reward is obviously at the top of his game and is respected in his bid for the four-timer. But an 8lb higher mark could just halt him today. In contrast, Craic Sa Cieli is only 2lb higher than when he broke his maiden in a nursery at Ayr last year and he looks to be back to something like his best after some fair performances for his new yard this term. The three-year-old's effort behind Dame De Noche at Goodwood last month looks good in the context of this race. And a similar effort may see him home today.
