Verdict
The Jamie Osborne-trained Cape Trafalgar has undoubtedly improved in leaps an bounds since her introduction at Windsor in April but her actions on the track have not gone unnoticed and she faces a very stiff task at the weights today. Therefore a small stakes interest in Ardkeel Lass could be the easiest way to attain a fair return in this pretty competitive nursery. Aces Dancing and Danifah are beginning to look exposed so Marysienka could be the surprise package for the forecast slot as she drops in grade here. However, Ardkeel Lass, who broke the course record when she was sold for 27,000gns after winning a seller here in June, was far from disgraced when beaten by a Richard Hannon-trained hot-pot here last time. She stuck to her task well on that occasion and pleased with her attitude in defeat. And the 13lb she receives from Cape Trafalgar could be more than enough to prompt a return visit to the Chepstow winners' enclosure for Ardkeel Lass.
