Verdict

With the weights going up 5lbs, Frantic Tan has been done no favours. He has a touch of class and will certainly find this easier than when beaten, but not disgraced in the Welsh National. Dropped 4lbs for that effort he is beginning to look well handicapped and with no doubts about his ability to handle the ground, he gets the vote to return to winning ways. No shortage of dangers including Roberty Bob, who is now 1lb lower than a mark he has won off. He will not mind the testing ground, neither will Cimarone Cove, who stays longer than the mother-in-law. If Fasgo responds to the first time blinkers he is sure to be a danger to all. Others to consider are the hat-trick seeking Nativetrial and the well handicapped Spanish Main.
