Verdict

These could end up spread over half of the Cotswolds. Pearlysteps is the class act and trainer Henry Daly won this in 2010 with Martha's Kinsman. His charge was fourth in the Foxhunters Chase at The Festival but whether he'll stay this far is anybody's guess. Pentiffic has never won beyond 3m but Gone To Lunch was second in the Scottish National in 2009 and still does well from limited opportunities. King Fontaine has also been placed in a Scottish National and won over 3m1f at Bangor earlier this month. He's preferred to Soulard and Aintree Fox Hunters sixth Court Red Handed. MONSIEUR JOURDAIN beat Poppy Day over a marathon trip between the flags last time and Sarah Easterby's charge can follow up in this, with Universal Soldier also worth a second look.
