In depth

Verdict

Parisienne Gale exited early at Market Rasen on Boxing Day and is worth another chance here in a race where she is favoured at the weights. The mare was in good form earlier in the campaign at this sort of trip. The defeat on her penultimate start can be put down to not staying, and this minimum distance is ideal. She normally jumps well, and even if she does tend to go left-handed again she is going the right way here, and she can get back to winning ways. There's not much to separate College City, Welcome To Unos and Kalou on their best form, and all three can get involved. College City goes well on this ground and over the minimum trip, though he has failed to win since being penalised. Welcome To Unos is in good heart after successive hurdle wins and returns to fences here, though the trip may be a bit short for him, while Kalou has conditions and trip to his liking and a reproduction of his latest win at Musselburgh would give him strong claims. But Parisienne Gale still looks worth another chance and we'll give her that here.
