This competitive handicap closes the card and Dark Champion, Misaro and Mynd look to be the leading lights with the vote given to Mynd. The selection was a little disappointing at Ayr last time but he is better than that and with conditions in his favour we are prepared to give him another chance today. He is held by Misaro from their recent run at Wolverhampton but he is better off at the weights today. Misaro has obvious claims but his best form is on the AW and we are prepared to oppose him on this occasion. Dark Champion is well-drawn and he will appreciate this soft surface, but his best form is over 6f and for that reason we will take him on. Paddywack is effective on a soft surface and he might go well at an each-way price after being given a short break to freshen him up. However, for the winner we are happy to return to Mynd.
