Golden Chimes, like most of these, has an absence to overcome but is the pick over Taleban and Imps Way. Golden Chimes has not been seen much at all over the past two years, his last outing coming on this track when fourth on his hunter chase debut in March of last year. That in turn was his first race since July 2001 so he has obviously been hard to train. He does though act on fast ground so should have conditions in his favour today at least. Taleban is another that will benefit from the run but was second over fences at Sedgefield on his last visit to the racecourse in September. Mydante has been away even longer and has yet to race over fences but had fair form over hurdles in the past. Imps Way ran in a point-to-point 18 days ago so will at least be fit but this is definitely a race not to get too heavily involved in and only a tentative vote goes to Golden Chimes.
