A big field but not the most competitive of races, and this can be taken by hat-trick seeker Will He Wish, with Chairman Bobby, Risk Free and Compton Arrow the main dangers. Will He Wish has a good enough draw in stall eight and can take advantage here. Granted the selection does have to prove that he gets this seven furlong trip, after being soundly beaten at Beverley last month in a maiden on similar going. However, two confidence boosting wins at Redcar and Yarmouth - both over 6f - have followed and with the blinkers applied again today, the extra furlong should be well within his compass. Trainer Steve Gollings had thought that his charge would make a miler, so any stamina doubts should hopefully be dispelled as a result and he can score again despite top weight. Chairman Bobby gets a useful 6lbs here from the selection and with both of them rated officially at 62, that could prove invaluable. An improving sort who has not been out of the first two in his last four starts, Chairman Bobby is clearly in great heart and we are taking a chance opposing him. However, he has never been tried over this trip, being mainly campaigned over 5 and 6 furlongs and we anticipate that he could be found out for stamina here. Risk Free gave Chairman Bobby 11lb and was beaten eight lengths by him over 5f at Carlisle last month and the comes here now off levels. With that, and the fact that he has proved he gets this trip also in his favour, he can reverse the form and give the selection most to do. Compton Arrow also gets 7f, though seems to prefer shorter. He is not in the best of form at the moment though and may just find a couple too good, though should not be ruled out of the frame. However, the vote remains with Will He Wish.
