Truly Fruitful is less exposed than most of these and could be of interest now sent handicapping but Richard Fahey's gelding has yet to prove that he handles ground as testing as this and a safer bet looks to be Bright Sparky, who gets the vote ahead of Harpurs Girl. The last mentioned showed improved form for racing on bottomless ground here last time and has to be respected on that evidence but the winner of that race was trained by Mick Easterby and he has a good line to Harpurs Girl for stablemate Bright Sparky, who showed improved form when successful at Musselburgh in January and is worth a wager in the hope that he can run up to the form shown that day. Diamond Vein has more to do than when landing a selling handicap at Wetherby last time, while Southern Bazaar would probably prefer a faster surface. Sea Cadet is open to improvement, while the booking of Graham Lee for Only Words does take the eye but, on form, it is Bright Sparky who looks the one to be on.
