Verdict

A poor race in which VISCOUNT ROSSINI is our pick with Deadline and Mischief Man the others to make appeal. The selection accounted for Nevsky Bridge in some style at Sedgefield in a similar race last month and appears capable of demonstrating form on any surface. Those two qualities might be enough in a race lacking quality. Deadline is on something of a losing run. The booking of Tony McCoy couldn't inspire victory last time but he has to be respected on a second to Numero Due at Sedgefield. Mischief Man has had less chances than most. Hailing from a shrewd yard, he needs to be watched closely in the market. Find Me has been desperately out of form and may be best watched. Mister Fizzbomb is exposed as ordinary though would be dangerous if securing a soft lead. Monsieur Villez was sent off as favourite for a similar contest last time out but was tailed off with some way to go. Thunderclap returns from a break but of those at longer odds, his win in a Novice event at Wetherby entitles him to some consideration. Moyne Pleasure is sure to give another bold show under his 10lb claimer. Viscount Rossini gets the nod.
