    Verdict

    A most disappointing turn out for the finale with Montecristo handed a golden opportunity to follow up last week's Epsom success. The ground is faster than ideal for the Rae Guest's veteran but his sole rival makes a belated return having showed only modest form as a juvenile so this would appear a straightforward task.
