      Verdict

      This won't take much winning and looks the ideal opening for Jordans Elect to lose his maiden tag. Lightly raced during the summer, Ian Semple's gelding has several useful efforts in maiden company to his name and with none of these having shown anything like his level of form, he is taken to get off the mark. China Beauty didn't exactly shape as though she was a winner waiting to happen on her debut, and while she is open to improvement, she will need to. Amalfi Coast only beat one home on his debut here and will need to start before the rest to figure, while Tea's Maid runs here in preference to an engagement at Warwick, later this week. In what is a dire contest, Jordans Elect is taken to lead his rivals a merry dance.
