Mark Johnston has never been afraid of travelling the length and breadth of the country in search of winners and he looks to have found a good opportunity for Stagecoach Ruby to pay for the expenses for the journey from Middleham to Brighton here. The two-year-old will have been boosted by winning a modest contest at Redcar earlier in the month and she is fancied to follow up at the main expense of Lady Lucia and La Puce, who are both respected but have a little to prove now. The one negative about Stagecoach Ruby is her tendency to give ground away at the start but she will have learnt a lot from her outing at Redcar and she can put her experience over this trip to good use today.
