Sir Mark Prescott's runners here are always worth a second look but his representative Taranis is proving to be expensive to follow and a better bet looks to be Gigs Magic who was not beaten far in a similar contest at Hamilton last time and, off a 1lb lower mark, Mark Johnston's gelding gets the vote to go one better at the main expense of Arsad. The last mentioned ran better at Beverley last time but would not want any easing in the ground and, with some rain forecast, she may not have ground conditions to suit. Like a lot of Jonathan Geake's runners, Kick And Prance has shown improved form recently and cannot be ruled out, while Maria Antonia looks to be going the right way but has more to do in a handicap today having done his winning in sellers and claimers. Garston Star has been well held of late, while Yenaled has similarly given little cause for optimism in his last two starts and a safer option looks to be Gigs Magic.
