Recent Kempton winner Violet Ballerina has to be respected but having to race off a 5lb higher mark for that success leaves Brian Meehan's filly with more to do, while Forest Dane now has a career high mark to defy and has been beaten off a 3lb lower mark in his last two starts so preference is for Who's Winning. The selection hails from the yard of Brendan Powell that has been in good form in recent weeks, remains on a fair mark and has conditions to suit so, at the likely odds, he looks worth chancing. Fulke Johnson Houghton's Mujood looks to be on a fair mark but is probably better over further than this trip so may be best watched today. Kaveri has slipped to a decent mark but Clive Brittain's filly has given little cause for optimism of late, while Night Prospector could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Who's Winning still looks to be well enough treated though and he gets the vote to resume winning ways.
