Plenty have chances if running up to their best however we will side with old campaigner Seven No Trumps on his 100th start on turf. Dark Champion, Spirit Of Coniston and Butterfly Bud make it to the shortlist. The selection has been in good form of late since being returned to the turf and having won on all types of ground, he shouldn't be affected whichever way the weather goes. Milton Bradley certainly knows the time of day with his sprinters and assuming that his high draw works out (strange draw bias at recent meetings), he looks sure to mount another decent challenge. Dark Champion is effective over a variety of trips but should get a decent tow and he will be staying on at the finish. Butterfly Bud let down his backers last time out at Catterick and now drops two furlongs in trip. Whilst he is yet to win in 17 starts, it may be folly to rule him out and he can snatch a place. Cool Sands and Cleveland both appear to be more suited by the all-weather and so can be passed over, along with Taboor who is dangerously well-handicapped but woefully out of form. A really tough end to the day for punters, however we will return to Seven No Trumps as the winner with a bit of luck.
