Barking Mad may be up to defying topweight here against Factor Fifteen and the lightly weighted Lennel. Michael Bell's five-year-old was given a great ride by Kieren Fallon to prevail at Newmarket, finding the opposition a bit less daunting than in the John Smith's Cup at York the time before. He had also made all earlier at Windsor so is obviously a gutsy sort, finding more when needed. Those attributes will stand him in good stead here as he bids to stave off the challenge of Factor Fifteen who, although beaten in a lower grade race than this over the course and distance in June, has since run well at Newmarket. Dunaskin is not without a chance with Kevin Darley in the saddle, while Lennel has a chance of reaching the frame if his Haydock success was no fluke. Barking Mad is at the top of his form though and is once again taken to make all.
