In a weak finale, Red River Rebel gets a confident vote to follow up his recent course and distance victory, with TBM Can and Ipledgeallegiance fancied to chase him home. TBM Can has already won three times this year and showed when third at Kempton last time that he cannot be written off yet, so he has to be respected in a race of this nature. However, Red River Rebel impressed with his attitude when getting the better of Mr Lear over this course and distance last time, with Ipledgeallegiance five lengths away in sixth place. The runner-up has since scored at Ripon, and the selection is fancied to confirm the form with David Chapman's gelding on six pounds worse terms, so we fancy John Norton's five-year-old to score a fourth victory here at Beverley.
