Acomb was such an impressive winner at Pontefract last week that it is hard to see a five pound penalty stopping him from landing a double here; Grey Clouds and Megan's Magic could prove best of the rest. Mick Easterby's gelding was recording his second win of the year when bolting up by five lengths at Pontefract a week ago, and although the extra two furlongs here is a slight concern, it would be impossible to go against him while in this mood, and Kevin Darley is a significant jockey booking, as he has a decent strike rate for the yard. Grey Clouds had Megan's Magic a length and three quarters behind her when winning a fillies' handicap at Newcastle last time, and there should be little between them on these revised terms. They are fancied to reach the frame, although top weight Rockerfella Lad would be entitled to come into the reckoning if there was a good deal of rain beforehand. However, Acomb looks to be a horse on the upgrade and he is confidently fancied to land the double here
