        Verdict

        Royal Composer looks a good bet to land this handicap; Colorus and Never Without Me rate the best of the others. The selection is a course and distance winner and he has plenty in his favour today as he arrives here in decent form after a solid effort at Ayr last time. He has a good draw this evening and he can make it count. Colorus ran well from a poor draw at Thirsk last time and the race has worked out well. He should be in the shake-up today. Never Without Me hinted at a return to form last time out but he hasn't won for nearly a year so he is not one to go overboard about. At a bigger price Viewforth is worth a look as he is a course and distance winner and he has a good draw, although recent evidence would suggest that his best days are now behind him. Royal Composer makes most appeal here and he looks the one to be on.
