Homecroft Boy is from a stable going well and he gets the narrow vote ahead of Lady Duxyana and Savoy Chapel. The David Evans trained three-year-old is improving with each run and was a close up second to Kinsman a few days ago. If showing the same improvement on the turf he will prove hard to beat. Savoy Chapel is one of the more consistent runners in the line up and should again be involved in the finsih. However a bigger threat could be Lady Duxyana from the Mark Usher stable. She ended last season with a poor effort but may have had enough by then. Her previous second in a competitive seller looks good in the context of this poor contest and she could make the frame at decent odds. Others to consider for each-way purposes include Mountain Climb and The Jailer, but Homecroft Boy is possibly the most progressive in the field and he gets the nod.
