      Verdict

Babodana scored with some authority on his Hamilton debut in June and was then far from disgraced in a minor event at Windsor last time following a short break. There should be more to come from the son of Bahamian Bounty but Newmarket selling winner Star Vega has plenty to prove at this level particularly as she returns from a seven week absence. New Wish ran well in a York nursery last time but is a little more exposed than most and may be vulnerable so the TEAMtalk vote goes to Masterpoint. The Mark Johnston-trained colt ran a blinder last time when, under top weight in a competitive York nursery, he held every chance until fading in the closing stages. The son of Mark Of Esteem looks sure to go well if reproducing the same level of form on these slightly easier conditions.
