Oddsmaker may still be well handicapped under a penalty for his Musselburgh win, but his CV suggests that he is much better there than when racing here so we will oppose with MOHAWK RIDGE. The four-year-old will attempt to follow-up a fast ground course and distance win last time out from a 4lbs higher mark. He is adaptable regarding ground and a consistent performer who might just be able to comfirm placings with Chocolate Caramel, who is 1lb better off for a neck in that August contest. Hunters Belt has claims from a sliding mark, while Redcar specialist Bollin Judith goes on any ground and ran well here last year from a similar mark. Royal Straight should get competitive, while Pertemps Networks would want rain to have his best chance of defying a mark of 65 and Mohawk Ridge looks the percentage call. (Jonathan Doidge)
