      Verdict

      Ashaawes has Ouninpohja to beat, with Mashaahed best of the rest. This Listed race does not have a great deal of strength in depth, and as far as we are concerned, it looks like a three-horse race on paper. Ashaawes has done absolutely nothing wrong so far as he bids to put a dent in his massive purchase price of just under $3,000,000. The son of Kingmambo duly made a winning debut at Newmarket last July, and was put away after being beaten in York's Acomb Stakes. Unbeaten in two starts over 10 furlongs this term, he can pass his stiffest test to date. Ouninpohja is the main stumbling block, but the former Alan Swinbank inmate does have a habit of finding one too good, albeit at a decent level, and is worth taking on again here. Mashaahed, third in the Chester Vase, and a close fifth in Listed company at Ascot, looks best of the rest, but Ashaawes has more to offer and should be followed until beaten.
