In depth

Verdict

John Gosden won this in 2010 with Debussy but Maverick Wave will need to step up on his Huxley Stakes win at Chester in May to come out best. He still makes more appeal than Belgian Bill and Irish raider Elleval while German Group 3 winner Wake Forest is preferred to French challenger Bookrunner. Triple Threat is a Group 2 winner in France and won a Graded event on his first start for Bill Mott but Chad Brown looks to hold all the aces in this. He runs both BIG BLUE KITTEN and Slumber, first and second respectively in a Grade 1 at Monmouth last time, with the former just preferred and taken to confirm running.
