Irish bumper winner Multeen River is an interesting recruit, but he will surely find this sharp two miles an insufficient test. He will win races in the future, but in Sharmy he faces an above average rival. Sharmy, who comes into this on the back of an excellent effort at Newmarket recently, will be fit and can make the most of his hurdling experience. Brave Effect, who went off favourite for a novice at Kelso, on the back of an encouraging debut at Carlisle, is better than he showed that day and may be good enough to take the minor honours.
