Former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard will go on a date with an NFL fan after losing a Super Bowl bet.
The world No 45 had predicted a victory for the Atlanta Falcons over the New England Patriots in the showpiece final in Houston.
Bouchard would have been in confident mood with the Falcons cruising to what seemed a certain victory with a 28-3 lead in the third quarter of the game.
One fan, however, felt confident of a Patriots comeback and asked if he could take the Canadian out on a date if New England did manage to win the game.
"Sure," Bouchard replied on Twitter, only to watch as Tom Brady guided his team to one of the greatest comebacks in sporting history.
A bet being a bet, Bouchard asked the fan where he lived, to which he replied: "Chicago. Go to school in Missouri. We can go on a date where ever you want!"
Bouchard went on to tweet: "Lesson learned. Never bet against Tom Brady" and appeared to confirm she will keep her side of the bargain.
"I will do it, I stay true to my word", was her final tweet on the subject.
