The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to trade quarterback Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos, according to reports.
ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the news. Mike Klis of 9News in Denver reported the Ravens will receive a fourth-round pick from the Broncos for Flacco.
The trade cannot be officially processed until the new NFL league year begins on March 13 and the teams are prohibited from officially commenting on the deal or the terms surrounding it until then.
The deal means Baltimore are committing to 2018 first-round pick Lamar Jackson as their quarterback moving forward.
Jackson took over from Flacco as Baltimore's starting quarterback midway through the season and helped the Ravens reach the playoffs, where they were defeated by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Flacco, 34, leaves the Ravens after 11 seasons in Baltimore. He helped the team win Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers in 2012.
Last season, he threw for 2,465 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions in nine games.
The arrival of Flacco in Denver casts doubts on Case Keenum's future with the team.
Keenum signed a two-year, $36m deal with the Broncos in free agency prior to last season after excelling with the Minnesota Vikings in 2017.
But he failed to replicate that form in Denver, throwing for 3,890 yards, 18 touchdowns and 15 interceptions as the Broncos finished with a disappointing 6-10 record.
Keenum, 30, has a cap hit of $21m in 2019 but the Broncos can save $11m by cutting him.
