Ted Rath performs one of the strangest jobs in the NFL and will be in action on Sunday as the LA Rams face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII, live on Sky Sports.
Rath's official job is director of strength training and performance with the Rams, but his matchday role is to keep an eye on head coach Sean McVay and pull him away from trouble on the touchline.
McVay, the youngest man to coach in Super Bowl history, is full of energy on the sidelines and employs Rath as his 'get back' coach to avoid possible penalties for contact with officials.
Rath describes his weird matchday role as a form of touchline tango.
He said: "I literally have to spend my time when the offence is on the field standing right behind Sean (McVay) and ripping him out of the way when official's are about to run into him, just so we don't get a penalty.
"There is an art to it and it's kinda like a dance - maybe a tango, like a sidestep into the path of the offical and them remove back."
For 90 minutes of Super Bowl LIII build-up from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta with Rob Ryan and Bucky Brooks, join us on Sky Sports USA, Main Event and Mix from 10pm on Sunday, February 3.
