The AFC comfortably overcame the NFC to win the 2019 Pro Bowl 26-7 on a rainy Sunday evening in Orlando.
In the NFL All-Star game, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes impressed, leading the AFC down the field for a touchdown on the opening drive of the game, delivering an 18-yard scoring strike to Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron.
However, defense surprisingly dominated thereafter, with the game littered with offensive miscues in testing weather conditions.
A goal-line touchdown from Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman and two Jason Myers field goals extended the AFC's lead, while things got a lot more experimental in the second half.
The NFC, in an attempt to get themselves back in the game, at one stage had Ezekiel Elliott and Saquon Barkley running a read-option offense for a play together, while both teams swapped around defensive and offensive personnel at regular intervals.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans intercepted a Deshaun Watson pass on one play, before then fumbling, only for Barkley to pick up the loose ball and go on a mazy run all the way up to midfield. Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey too impressed on the other side of the ball, scoring on a six-yard touchdown reception.
In sourer news, Pittsburgh Steelers star receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster went down with a knee injury after a strong tackle by Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner.
