Shaquem Griffin, who had his left hand amputated as a youngster, was picked by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday

Shaquem Griffin provided one of the biggest stories of the 2018 NFL Draft when it came to a conclusion on Saturday.

Griffin, who had a hand amputated when he was four, was selected with the 141st pick by the Seattle Seahawks, who offered him the chance to join the same franchise as his twin brother Shaquill.

The 22-year-old was in tears as he hugged his brother after being selected in the fifth round, and now he begins on the road to becoming the first one-handed player to feature in the NFL.

But Griffin was not the only headline act on Saturday as the final four rounds of the draft were completed at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

A variety of celebrities from the NFL past and present made selections for their teams, while there was even an appearance from Star Wars character R2-D2.

And the Jacksonville Jaguars continued their tradition of announcing some of their picks from London, where defensive stars Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue were on hand to help out.
