Robert Griffin III is back in the NFL after agreeing a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
A college football star with Baylor, Griffin made a big impact as a rookie with the Washington Redskins in 2012 and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year after a string of dynamic displays.
However, the quarterback's fortunes declined after that as he struggled with injuries and his last NFL action came for the Cleveland Browns at the end of the 2016 season.
Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said on Wednesday: "He came in last week, worked out.
"He had a real good workout and we were able to come to an agreement.
"He will probably be here early next week to sign the deal."
Joe Flacco is a long-established starter at quarterback for Baltimore but Griffin will be in the mix as their back-up and could get his chance if Flacco falters or picks up an injury.
