Indianapolis Colts have confirmed Josh McDaniels will become their new head coach after agreeing terms.

McDaniels has left the New England Patriots, who were defeated in the Super Bowl LII by Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

A press conference has been called by the club for Wednesday, during which the new head coach will address the media.

Writing a short statement on social media, the Colts said: "We are excited to welcome Josh McDaniels, who has agreed to terms as our new head coach."
