Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Leonard Fournette was benched for Sunday's NFL game against Cincinnati for violating an unspecified team rule, Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said.

Fournette, selected fourth in this year's NFL Draft, missed the Jaguars' annual team photo session earlier this week, ESPN reported.

"Leonard Fournette is not playing in today's game due to an infraction of a team rule," Marrone said in a statement. "This has been addressed internally and further details will not be made to the public."

Fournette ranks sixth in the NFL with 596 rushing yards and shares the league lead with six rushing touchdowns over his first six games.

He was to have tried to become the first player to score a touchdown in each of his first seven NFL games in Sunday's home game against the Bengals.
