Highlights of the Pittsburgh Steelers' clash with the Detroit Lions in week eight of the NFL

JuJu Smith-Schuster scored on a 97-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger late in the third quarter to help the Pittsburgh Steelers on their way to a 20-15 win Sunday night win over the Detroit Lions.

The Steelers limited the Lions, who had as much as 482 yards of offence, to only five field goals in the game and forced them to turn the ball over on downs twice as the home side failed to find the endzone.

The AFC North-leading Steelers (6-2) now go into their bye week with a three-game winning streak, while the slumping Lions have lost a third straight and fourth in five games.

Roethlisberger's perfectly lofted pass to Smith-Schuster was undoubtedly the play of the game. The rookie receiver ran for about 70 yards after the catch on his way into the endzone - the longest pass play in Steelers history.

Le'Veon Bell scored the only other touchdown in the game, running in from five yards out in the second quarter. Despite that, the Steelers still trailed 12-10 at half-time.

But, some costly decisions on fourth down by Detroit coach Jim Caldwell meant the home side added only three further points in the second half.

Matthew Stafford was sacked on a fourth and one from the goal line when the Lions trailed by only one point in the third quarter, while Matt Prater kicked a field goal when next presented with an identical opportunity from the Pittsburgh one-yard line in the fourth, down by eight.
