Jacksonville Jaguars' first home game of the season will go ahead as scheduled in the wake of Hurricane Irma, the team and Jacksonville mayor Lenny Curry announced.
The Jaguars, who host Tennessee Titans at 6pm UK time on Sunday, opened their 2017 season in Houston last Sunday and remained there before returning to Jacksonville after Irma had crossed through.
The hurricane stormed through north Florida on Monday and caused scenes of devastation to parts of the state.
The area around the team's stadium, EverBank Field, had some flooding on Monday but the water had receded by Tuesday afternoon and the stadium suffered no external damage.
Team officials examined the stadium before notifying the NFL and the Titans that the ground was in a suitable condition for the match to take place.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan has donated $1m to the relief effort and is making 5,000 tickets available to first responders.
In a statement, Khan said: "Jacksonville gets labelled as 'small market,' but it has a heart bigger than any community I've been associated with in my life.
"Jacksonville will recover and come back stronger than ever, but who couldn't use a little help from our friends?
"I'm hoping that our sponsors, partners and fans will think of Florida's First Coast Relief Fund this week and give what they can.
"Then, we gather Sunday at EverBank Field to show the world we're back in a big way, as a team and as a community. This is Jax As One."
