Pittsburgh Steelers Free Safety Mike Mitchell gives his thoughts ahead of the AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs

Safety Mike Mitchell tells Sky Sports the Pittsburgh Steelers have the confidence to overcome the No 2 seed Kansas City Chiefs this weekend.

The Steelers are in red-hot form, winning each of their last eight games, including a dominant AFC wild card victory over the Miami Dolphins last weekend.

With Le'Veon Bell, Antonio Brown and Ben Roethlisberger among the best players in their respective position, Pittsburgh have overcome their early season stutter to head into the play-offs as serious contenders for a seventh Super Bowl title.

"We are focussed, we know we are going into a hostile environment against the No 2 seed so we will have our hands full but we are ready for war," he added.

"We know they have the advantages, they have a great home crowd so it’s going to be a tough test but we have got the men who can handle it.

"We believe our team is built for any weather, anywhere, any place any time.

"We will have our hands full but at this stage of the season there are always going to be games where you have your hands full, it’s the play offs and we are down to the final eight teams - so this is why we play the game and we are excited by the challenge.
