New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr attempted to play down the significance of their Sky Live game against Philadelphia Eagles.

The Giants are on an impressive run of form, with their 17-6 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday meaning they have won eight of their last nine matches.

Victory at the Eagles would secure their place in the play-offs for first time since 2011, but Beckham Jr is keen to focus on the game itself, rather than any greater significance it may hold.

"We have a full intention of coming out and putting our best foot forward and obviously the goal is to win," he said.

"The outcome of winning would be great as far as us clinching [play-off qualification] but the main focus is to win the football game and the rest will take care of itself.

"That's where our minds are at, we have a tough challenge ahead.

"It's always been a good game, these are two rival teams, so it will be an interesting match-up."
