It was another tough night for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff.
Since his selection as the No 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Goff has been under constant scrutiny as he finds his way in the league.
As well as the natural demand that comes with being the top pick, that pressure was compounded by the Rams' appearance on Hard Knocks, where viewers were able to see his training camp and pre-season struggles.
Goff lost the starting quarterback job to Case Keenum, and sat on the bench for the first half of the season, which included the Rams' 17-10 loss to the New York Giants at Twickenham.
The rookie made his first start in week 11, and has shown glimmers of promise since taking the job. However, he was forced to leave the game early on Thursday night, after taking a direct hit from Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.
With ten minutes to go in the fourth quarter, after escaping a defensive blitz, Goff wheeled out of the pocket and made a run for the endzone down the left sideline. As he approached the five-yard line, Sherman intercepted his run, bounding into Goff and knocking him out of bounds.
Goff didn't return to the field, and was instead taken to the locker room where he entered concussion protocol.
Following the game, Sherman said he felt that Goff had disrespected Seattle.
"Goff was showing a little disrespect in his running style, he was acting like he was getting a freebie to endzone."
The Seahawks won the game 24-3, to clinch the NFC West Championship. Speaking after the game, Rams interim head coach John Fassel said that Goff needed to learn when to run out of bounds, and protect himself better.
The Rams are now 4-10, and continue their search for a new head coach after sacking Jeff Fisher on Monday.
