Following the loss of quarterback Andrew Luck, the Indianapolis Colts were preparing a new passer for their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Luck was ruled out of the Thanksgiving day contest after entering concussion protocol following the Colts' 24-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans in week 11.
Back up QB Scott Tolzein was given the starting job, but it was punter Pat McAfee that stole the limelight with his passing skills.
On fourth down during the first half of the Colts' 28-7 loss to the Steelers, McAfee was brought out but instead of punting he took the ball in his hands and looked downfield. Seeing Erik Swoope open on the right sideline, McAfee threw the ball 35 yards to the tight end.
McAfee was drafted in the seventh round by the Colts, and has played his entire career in Indianapolis. Following the throw he treated the crowd to a celebration dance.
Indianapolis went on to score a touchdown from the resulting play as Tolzein found Donte Moncrief with a five yard pass to complete the drive.
