The NFL has confirmed Lady Gaga as the headline act at the Super Bowl half-time show at NRG Stadium in Houston on February 5.
Gaga sang the national anthem at the Super Bowl this year in Santa Clara, California as Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Coldplay headlined the half-time show.
In a nod to her latest single, Perfect Illusion, Gaga wrote on Twitter: "It's not an illusion. The rumors are true. This year's Super Bowl goes Gaga!"
Earlier this year Adele claimed she was given an offer to perform at the Super Bowl but turned it down because the event is "not about music", although the NFL later denied giving her a "formal offer."
Super Bowl 50 this year became the third most watched broadcast in American television history with an average of 111.9 million viewers.
The US TV audience reportedly peaked during the half-time show when an average of 115.5 million people tuned in to watch Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars perform.
Madonna, the Rolling Stones and Prince are among the artists who have previously performed at the Super Bowl.
