The Roses had stormed into a 39-22 half-time lead, powered by Helen Housby and Rachel Dunn.

Uganda rallied in the third and fourth quarters as Roses head coach Tracey Neville rotated her squad, but the match ended with George Fisher scoring the final points.

Player of the match Jodie Gibson said: "I'm so proud of how we attacked that game. I did my job. I went away and watched video of how I could improve from the last game.

"Uganda are in our group [at the World Cup] so we want to win [this series] 3-0."

This series victory is the first time that the Roses have played on home soil since earning a Commonwealth gold medal.
