Tamsin Greenway has remembered the difficulties of setting up Wasps as their director of netball… then winning the Superleague in the team’s debut campaign!

The Netball Superleague returns on Saturday, live on Sky Sports from 6.45pm, when Wasps play Surrey Storm.

How difficult were the early days at Wasps?

There were so many challenges starting a new team. A lot of people commented 'you brought in people you knew so perhaps it's not a new club'. There was so much going on behind the scenes that I didn't anticipate.
Tamsin Greenway

You eventually made a comeback as a player…

There were two reasons I came back into the court. The injuries to Sophia Candappa and Amy Flanagan was the big one.

Can you remember returning onto the court?

I came on at half-time and we were drawing 24-24 and we won that quarter. It could have gone the other way – it wasn’t me!
Tamsin Greenway

What are your proudest memories?

To actually take a team from nothing, build it up, get out onto court and then win the trophy in the first season.
