Milwaukee Bucks center Pau Gasol will miss the rest of the regular NBA season with an injured left ankle.

Gasol is expected to miss around a month, which would allow him to return at some point in the postseason, depending how far the NBA-best Bucks (54-19) advance.

He joined Milwaukee less than three weeks ago after reaching a buyout with the San Antonio Spurs and has played in three games for the Bucks, averaging 1.3 points and 3.3 rebounds.

In 30 games this season, the 38-year-old six-time All-Star is averaging career lows of 3.9 points and 4.6 rebounds.

Gasol's injury comes after the Bucks recently lost guard Malcolm Brogdon (foot) and forward Nikola Mirotic (fractured thumb).
